Real Estate Activity in Killington, Vt During the Month of May
Eight properties sold in Killington during the month of May. Seven were condominiums and one was a parcel of land. A one bedroom Mountain Green, five Pico units and one Sunrise condominium sold. The parcel of land was on Route 4 in Killington. One condominium went under contract during the month and is scheduled to close later this year. The five properties that sold at Pico were at prices that are 20 – 30% below their
assessed tax value. Hopefully the town will take this into consideration during the
current reassessment.
Sales may be up, but potential buyers will look at these prices and will be reluctant
to pay higher. This doesn’t bode well for one of the few slopeside properties in the
Killington area. Rentals are also off, I received 20% less rental income this year.
I’d like to sell, but I feel I would be giving my unit(Pico E306) away.
